Yoga will help you to create a mind body connection, decrease stress, teaching you how to relax and unwind.

You may start yoga as a physical practice however it is guaranteed you will get hooked on the relaxation benefits too.

What do we teach?

Vinyasa, Yin & Restorative Yoga.

Classes can be sequenced anywhere from a strong dynamic flow that will challenge students to build strength and stamina, to a more slow paced yin/restorative class.  We like to bring a sense of fun & lightheartedness to our classes and offer a safe welcoming environment for everyone to practice yoga.

What is Vinyasa Yoga?

In a Vinyasa yoga class movement is synchronised with breath. Vinyasa yoga creates a connection of breath and movement. Establishing the mind, body & breath connection turns the class into a moving meditation.

My vinyasa classes are suitable to all levels of practitioner . Variations & modifications will be offered throughout the class catering to all levels. You are always welcome to take the class at your own pace.

Each class can vary depending on the style and the students in the class.

What is Yin Yoga?

Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga (such as vinyasa) that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine.

While initially this style of yoga can seem quite boring, passive, or soft, yin practice can be quite challenging due to the long duration of the poses. We can remain in the postures anywhere from one to 10 minutes!  It is a great compliment to other styles of yoga & is a fantastic way to slow down and unwind.

Private Yoga Classes

For students wishing to work on a one on one basis.

These private lessons can be taken in your home or Sacred Fig is happy to provide a location.

Great for people wanting to develop and gain maximum benefits from their yoga practice.

An initial consultation will be carried out to assess goals, injuries, health issues and specific requirements. We can then work together to develop a plan to ensure you are getting the most from your yoga practice.
